Palo Alto is a 2013 American drama film based on James Franco’s short story collection Palo Alto (2010). Gia Coppola directed the film and wrote the screenplay, while Franco stars with Emma Roberts and newcomer Jack Kilmer.

The film is a drama based around a group of rebellious high school kids in an urban environment, and their experiences with drugs, alcohol, sex, and violence.
