African Union fails to elect new leader

Leaders from across the continent gather in Kigali, Rwanda for the African Union’s annual summit, but fail to elect a new leader. Also, a week after a ceasefire was announced to contain fighting in Juba, some still in the South Sudanese capital continue to live in fear. And thousands of protesters flood the streets of Durban, South Africa demanding better access to treatment for HIV/AIDS – this as the city hosts a global conference on the challenges faced in tackling the virus and disease.
