Fifty-year-old Marwan al-Dewaini is a skilled mechanic. A passionate auto lover, the Syrian started working on cars in the late 1970s. Ten years later, he was able to open his own garage. But when conflict hit his hometown of Arbeed in 2011, the father-of-five had to flee to Damascus with his wife and five children.
