Air pollution hits highest level on Hong Kong’s scale, as city records hottest summer on record

Air pollution in parts of Hong Kong was recorded as being “serious”, the highest level on the government’s scale, on September 3, 2020. The pollution report came as the Hong Kong Observatory noted that the city is experiencing its hottest summer since records were first kept in 1884.
