South Korea reports lowest number of COVID-19 cases in almost two months at 50

The nation’s COVID-19 tally is at fifty today, the lowest in almost two months. This comes after double-digit increase in coronavirus cases for the last three days. Still, authorities remain on alert as sporadic cluster infections continue to pop up at small gatherings and community centers for senior citizens across the country. To prevent another wave during and after the Chuseok holiday, a special virus prevention period is now in effect for the next two weeks. Restrictions are in place for gatherings: 50 or less for indoors and no more than one hundred for outdoors; Chuseok festival and traditional games, must be held with limited numbers.
