I remember going to New York City in the eighties just to visit and stay at the Philippe Starck designed The Paramount Hotel and The Royalton hotels conceptualized by ‘the father of the boutique hotels’, Ian Schrager. Schrager was one of the co-founders of Studio 54.
EDITION Hotels marks the next chapter in the lifestyle hotel story. The new Brand is conceived by Ian Schrager in a partnership with Marriott International. It combines the personal, intimate, individualized and unique lodging experience that Ian Schrager is known for, with the global reach, operational expertise and scale of Marriott. In the coming years, another ten Edition hotels are planned in New York City, Sanya (China), Abu Dhabi, Gurgaon (India), Bangkok, Shanghai, Times Square, West Hollywood, Wuhan (China) and Paris.
