Tens of thousands of people in southwest China’s Sichuan Province tried to escape the heat this weekend by heading to various water parks.
The province’s inland location means it has no beaches, so citizens turned to artificial sources of water to cool themselves down.
One park in Daying County, Suining City has seen over 15,000 visitors a day, as tourists came from miles around to experience the waves thrown up by the park’s wave machine.
With a variety of slides and other attractions, the parks have proved a haven for thrill-seeking visitors looking for a way to keep cool as amidst souring temperatures.
