Today marks the 30th anniversary of the Right of Peoples to Peace. It is a global day of ceasefire. On this international Peace Day we stand in solidarity.

Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon states that we must douse the fires of extremism and tackle the root causes of conflict. Peace is a long road we must travel together – step by step, beginning today.
