It seems as though investors are queuing up for Germany’s first division clubs. The clubs are well-managed and their image is good, and since Germany won the world cup they’ve become even more attractive. Both fans and the Bundesliga are concerned that sponsors’ influence might become too great. Still, car manufacturer Audi has been a reliable strategic partner for Bayern Munich for years. Now the public insurance group Allianz has also taken a stake in the Munich club in the hope of reaping some of the rewards.
