Watch The Trailer For French House Film Eden Featuring A Fictionalized Daft Punk

Eden

Mia Hansen-Løve’s new film, Eden, follows the rise of the French electronic music scene in the 1990s. No story about that scene would be complete without an acknowledgement of Daft Punk’s major influence, and the duo will be portrayed in the movie by Arnaud Azoulay (who will play Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo) and Vincent Lacoste (playing Thomas Bangalter). The movie will mostly follow a fictional teenager duo named Cheers who grow in the shadow of the famous act, so it’s unclear how much of a role the duo will play in the plot of the movie. (The synopsis says, “Yes, the film captures the rise of dance music in Paris, Chicago, and New York — but via intimate moments in the company of young people who didn’t become Daft Punk.”) Three Daft Punk songs soundtrack the trailer, though, so the band seems on board.
