Jazz musician Bob Belden was the one of the first Americans to play in Tehran on February 20, 2015 at a music festival and he met The Real People of Iran. During the week of his visit, “not one negative word, not one negative vibe, and we were around thousands and thousands of people. They did not express anything but love and happiness for us. All the crap you think about Iran is exactly that, crap.” Iran, officially the Islamic Republic of Iran, is not known to currently possess weapons of mass destruction (WMD) and has signed treaties repudiating the possession of weapons of mass destruction including the Biological Weapons Convention, the Chemical Weapons Convention,and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
