A start up in Ghana has found a novel way of dealing with the country’s plastic waste problem. The country has built up huge amounts of waste through the popularity of plastic sachets of water sold on the streets of its cities. Trashy Bags collects waste plastic bags and turns them in to useable and fashion concious accessories like handbags. Al Jazeera’s Ama Boateng reports from Accra.
