On and off we get questions on the origins of band name The Leather Nun. Myth busting is fun and quite OK after 40 yrs. Pointing in the direction of a gay stripper in London and/or a legendary underground comic book, was quite fitting when building the mythology around a young, budding rockband that wanted to go places, stir up some noise and whip some asses musically along the way. The truth behind the name was less glamorous, but still a tounge in cheek reference but to the first UK punk single – ‘New Rose’ by The Damned. Wish you all a pleasant Wednesday. Stay safe! ✌️😎
