1976: The STRAY and the KRAY

It’s 1976, and the latest in a long line of beat groups aims to storm the hit parade with their first single.

The band is called Stray, and what might set them apart is their new manager – Charlie Kray, older brother of the Kray twins, Reggie and Ronnie. Here, presenter Bernard Falk quizzes him about his new life, and his younger brothers.

Excerpt taken from Nationwide, originally broadcast on BBC One, Friday 15 October, 1976.
