Staying in China. First lady Kim Hea Kyung visited the Korean International School in Beijing today to meet some of the students there. She thanked their parents as well as the faculty for their dedication to nurturing the future generations, and asked for continued support to nurture them as global talents based on their identity as Koreans. She met 12th graders who will soon graduate, saying they are the “lamps” whose dreams and passion serve to shine the future of Korea and China. She also treated them to fried chicken as a congratulations for graduating. The school was founded in 1998 to educate young Koreans living in China, from kindergarteners to high school students.
